Who? Ian currently spends his days in an office affectionately known as the chicken shed where he designs things and spends time on the web imagining being anyhwere else. Out of hours he can be found living in a two-bedroom semi near Coventry decorated in the 'Scandanavian Style' (i.e. mostly empty). At night, if the sky is clear he is often seen peering through a telescope a faint fuzzy things many light years away.

Where London is...

Last night I put BBC2 on to watch Horizon as it was supposedly about the development of organic computers and the work of Jan Hendrik Schön. However, what was shown was 45 minutes of 'Now the organic tranistor has been invented then x, y and z might happen' [Cue doomsday scenarios etc]. With the final 5 minutes saying in fact Schön (probably) made up his results and the organic transistor doesn't exist yet, so everything covered previously might not ever happen.
However, what really annoyed me about the program was the opening scene - a view of St. Pauls, with the text 'London, England'. It is really necessary for a British made science program to tell it's viewers that St. Pauls is not only in London, but London, England?
That is unless someone shipped it to Pope County (Arkansas), Madison County (Ohio), or maybe Freeborn County (Minnesota) while I wasn't looking.
